The CQC said:

Graham Road Surgery is an NHS GP practice located in Weston-super-Mare in an area of low deprivation. There were approximately 10,000 people registered with the service at the time of our assessment. We carried out this assessment to follow up on concerns identified at our previous assessment in May 2023 when the service was placed into special measures. We assessed all quality statements across safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. At this assessment, there was a focus on patient safety, and we found patients were being reviewed and monitored in line with national guidelines. We are now taking this service out of special measures. This recognises the significant improvements that have been made to the quality of care provided by this service over the last 12 months.

People's experience of this service

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent National GP Patient Survey results showed people felt their needs were met by the service. Whilst our assessment did not find any elements of care not meeting the expected standard, some people expressed difficulty in accessing care, support, and treatment in a way that met their needs or preferences. We asked the practice to share a link with patients so they could share their feedback with CQC and although we saw this on display at the practice, we did not receive an increase in feedback.
