Enter and View at Locking Castle
Healthwatch North Somerset have sent a team of authorised volunteers to carry out an enter and view at Locking Castle Surgery. Following our visit we have published a report detailing all our findings
The Enter and View team made notes of all their observations and findings during their visit. A few of their observations included
- The building is purpose built and well maintained
- There is no patient parking but there is disabled parking
- The doors are not automated but there are clear signs and a bell to ring for assistance with the doors
- Some of the conversations with the receptionist could be overheard in the waiting room
- There was a clear sign saying water could be provided is requested
- Plenty of information boards available

Locking Castle
The Enter & View representatives made some recommendations to improve the service based on their observations on the day
- Background music in the waiting area would stop the receptionists being overheard
- The addition of a photo to the Practice Manager and GP's on the staff board
- A poster stating that translation services are available would be helpful
- A larger notice offering water to patients would be a good idea
