Enter and View into Sunnyside Surgery
We have published our report into our findings for our enter and view visit to Sunnyside Surgery on 16th January 2018
During the visit the Enter & View representatives kept a note of all their observations. These included
- The internal decor was clean and tidy
- The waiting room was light and had good natural light
- There is a clear sign at the front of the building
- There reception desk has a lowered section allowing wheelchair users to be seen with ease
- Some of the conversations at the reception desk could be overheard in the waiting area
- The waiting room was a little cold
- Patients were called with a ticker tape screen which was very loud
- The Practice mission statement was not on view anywhere
- There were plenty of information boards in the waiting area
- The latest CQC report was available
All our observations together with the information we collected from staff and patients helped to shape the recommendations we made to help the surgery improve the service it offers patients. Our recommendations included
- Background music could help prevent the receptionists being overheard
- The addition of photos to the staff notice boards
- Waiting times could be displayed in the waiting room
- Put a copy of the Practices mission statement up for people to read
- No Carers information or "You said, we did" sections on the information boards
We received a response from the provider acknowledging our recommendations and saying they will try to accommodate them.
