Have your say on the proposed Graham Road Surgery relocation
Healthwatch North Somerset, Pier Health Group, and the local Clinical Commissioning Group are organising a series of workshops about the proposed relocation of Graham Road Surgery to the new practice at the Weston Rugby Club site. Your views could make a big difference to the future of the surgery.
The workshops taking place are as follows:
- Transport and accessibility – Friday 16 April from 5.30pm-7.30pm
- Design, look and feel – Thursday 22 April from 5.30pm-7.30pm
- Opportunities for health and wellbeing – Friday 30 April from 5.30pm-7.30pm
- Primary care service model – Friday 7 May from 5.30pm-7.30pm
- Meeting to summarise all four co-production workshops – Wednesday 12 May from 5.30pm-7.30pm
The first workshop will focus on transport and accessibility, looking at any issues regarding travel to the new location and how people who many struggle to access the surgery can be supported. The design, look and feel workshop will look at how the internal and external design of the new facility can be influenced, including the layout of patient areas. This will include the design of a child friendly space, the colour scheme and other design factors, as well as a suggested name for the new facility.
The third workshop will consider the use of the sporting facilities and recreational space at the Rugby Club site to further enhance health and well-being opportunities. The fourth workshop will look at how primary care services may operate at the new facility and how we can better ‘join up’ health and social care services.
The final workshop on Wednesday 12 May is designed to summarise all four previous workshops and capture any further comments from people who may not have been able to attend the previous events.

Feedback from the workshops will be used to inform the public consultation, which will start this summer (2021), on the proposal to close Graham Road Surgery and relocate patients to the new healthcare centre.
