World cafe on Mental Health
As a result of the event, the SW Mental Health Network is now commissioning a review of CAMHS pathways including those for children with crisis support. The SWMHCN said its world cafe event, attended by people from a number of organisations, including Healthwatch NS, flagged up that there was a gap in the provision of services for children and young people, (and their parents and carers) before being diagnosed. The network hopes to look again at the current journey which people with mental health needs follow until they are discharged.
Our operations manager Vicky Marriott said she was very pleased that there had been such a positive outcome from the event, with the gap in care, now being addressed.
