World Cafe - insights into mental health
Great to have a look at how services for young people with autism spectrum disorders and mental health conditions are working in the South West.
These organisations included Bridging the Gap Together and North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together Forum at the World Cafe event on May 2, which took place at South West House, Blackbrook Park Avenue, in Taunton.
The ‘World Cafe’ model is a new concept for sharing conversations and, at this event, the focus was on mental health and ASD. People sat round in a cafe style setting so ideas, questions and themes could all be raised by those attending. After a few rounds of conversation, insights and discoveries surfaced and it was a very positive way of addressing important issues.
