Avon and Wiltshire Partnership

Avon and Wiltshire Partnership (AWP) were anonymously nominated for ‘Excellence in Diversity Awards’ earlier this year, and then later shortlisted for the ‘Diverse Company – Public Sector’ category.

They were nominated alongside South Wales Police, Leeds & York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, The Royal Air Force, and Transport for London – all of whom had made some significant progress towards promoting diversity in the workplace.

At the awards ceremony last Thursday, AWP were announced as winners in this category, which is a testament of the work that is being done within the organisation to continue to build a diverse and inclusive organisation.

I wanted to share this with you because often in our region we don’t always hear about good progress being made in matters relating to diversity and inclusion, despite challenging times within the health services overall. Of course we will continue to strengthen our work, in partnership with colleagues such as your good selves, so this is something to celebrate for now, especially because its ‘Equality & Diversity Week’ this week
